Rick Freeman

After an eight-year stint as a professional baseball player in the Chicago Cubs/Oakland A’s organizations, Rick has been in the group insurance industry for more than 20 years.  He began his insurance career as a sales rep for non-medical benefits (dental, vision, disability, etc.) and then spent a couple of years at a local general agency as a sales rep for group health insurance representing several major carriers.  For the past 17 years, Rick has been serving small to mid-size employers as an independent broker/consultant.  He is very passionate about helping employers deliver the best insurance experience possible to each and every employee, with a robust benefit offering, while acting prudently with precious company resources. 

Rick is a native Houstonian and graduated from Bellaire High School, then from The University of Houston with a major in Business Marketing and a minor in Psychology.  Rick and his wife are high school sweethearts, have been married for 30 years, and have seven children together.
